Our Services:
Account Management
Our core responsibility outside of the travel planning process is to empower our customers with knowledge. The cost of travel is controllable but it requires on-going dialogue and information from which we can formulate policies, vendor partnerships and make critical decisions. Our ability to do so is dependent on having dedicated account teams for each corporate client. We take pride in having frequent contact with our travelers, travel planners and executives. Apart from coordinating travel supplier programs, our account managers fill several other roles. These roles include being conduits for customer service feedback, educating customers on new services and technologies at GlobalPoint Travel, providing in-depth travel management information to clients and providing cost savings consulting on an ongoing basis to clients. Our communication of information and opportunities creates a depth in our relationship that can be translated into tangible savings that go straight to the bottom line. We also make it a priority to listen carefully to the needs and expectations of our clients. Our attentiveness allows us to be proactive in bringing ideas, products and suggestions to our clients. We do all this because our focus on customer service is unwavering.
Consulting and Reporting
We use a combination of tools to provide travel data to our corporate accounts. A fundamental part of our data analysis uses our accounting database itself and our reservations system by way of either Access reporting or Crystal reports. This data is available in hard copy, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and via our interactive web application (iBank).
Our online travel reporting application, iBank, is updated daily from both the back office accounting system and from our reservations system. This allows a near real-time look at both ticketed records and un-ticketed bookings. All travel detail is available (ticket and invoice numbers, city pairs, cars, hotels, savings, etc). On a summary basis, it provides overall volume and market share information for travel suppliers and travel trends for the corporation. It can display over a hundred standard reports as well as an unlimited number of user defined reports. The system is always available via a password protected web interface. Over 250 corporate travel management companies as well as over 220 Fortune 500 corporations utilize iBank.
As with iBank, our standard reporting package provides comprehensive summary and detail reporting on all travel data including but not limited to air carrier performance, hotel stays, car rentals, individual trips, lost savings opportunities, advance purchase statistics, group/meeting travel, arrival and departure lists, and benchmarking against other accounts in similar industries. It is standard practice for us to provide corporate account information for the whole company broken down by divisions, departments, cost centers, and job orders. Inherent in the programming is a flexibility that allows us to manage the data in any way you deem appropriate. A listing of captured data elements is available on request.
Ad hoc reporting is also available and is typically without charge. We consider providing relevant travel data to be one of our core responsibilities in our consulting relationship with your company. Charges would only occur if the reporting requested required heavy programming or excessive man-hours to produce.
On a global basis, travel reporting is available to our corporate accounts by virtue of its membership in GlobalStar, our worldwide joint venture partnership of member agencies. GlobalPoint was actually chosen to create the global data standard and reporting system for the entire organization.
We use two methods for consolidating data and reporting. The first involves either the use of Hi-Mark systems who provides services for corporations such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Daimler-Chrysler and Cisco or the use of the aforementioned iBank reporting tool. Both iBank and Hi-Mark are highly experienced in global data consolidation and have highly robust reporting systems. Reporting is available via password protected web access.
The second methodology is a hand-off of travel data directly between agencies which can expedite processing in some cases. Because GlobalStar has come to a consensus on the data standard, we can be assured of producing all pertinent information necessary while ensuring consistency for the data and reports themselves.
